How Many Guests Can One Coffee Cart Serve?

The most common planning question we get is how many people one cart can handle. Here is the math we use.
The numbers
- One cart pours 30 to 40 drinks an hour.
- In two hours, that covers about 75 guests.
- Each cart comes with its own barista.
Matching the cart to your crowd
- Up to about 75 guests: one cart for two hours.
- More than that: add an hour, or add a second cart. Two carts pour 60 to 80 drinks an hour.
- A big conference or expo: more carts, each with its own barista.
What each cart needs
A 6 by 6 foot spot and one dedicated standard outlet from the venue. Two carts need two spots and two outlets.
